Do I have to prove my income to get food from Harvesters - The Community Food Network?
Harvesters - The Community Food Network does not publish a requirement either way. Each partner pantry sets its own, so ask the pantry before you go, or call 877-653-9519. Do not assume you are turned away: most pantries in the Feeding America network serve anyone who says they need help.
How do I actually get food from Harvesters - The Community Food Network?
Harvesters is a food bank supplying partner agencies. Use the Food Locator at harvesters.org/get-food-assistance/food-locator to find food pantries, kitchens and drive-thru distributions near you. Kids 18 and under can eat free at summer and after-school meal sites listed on the Meals for Kids page. For SNAP help call the SNAP Helpline on 877-653-9522. If nothing is within reach and you have no car, call Customer Care on 877-653-9519 - they may connect you with an agency that can arrange home delivery in extenuating circumstances. At drive-thru distributions cars are served first-come, first-served and volunteers load the food into your empty boot; walk-ups are often welcome, so bring a rucksack, wagon or reusable bag.
When is Harvesters - The Community Food Network open?
Not published as a single schedule; each agency has its own days and hours, shown in the Food Locator. Harvesters warns schedules can change at the last minute and says to check the schedule daily and contact the agency before you go to confirm days, hours and that food is available. Harvesters' own warehouse office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Does Harvesters - The Community Food Network cost anything?
Free. No fee or donation is mentioned anywhere on the page.
What do I need to bring?
Usually nothing - most distributions need no paperwork. Some government-program distributions do ask for information; call ahead to check. For a drive-thru, empty your boot; if walking, bring bags or a wagon.
