Who qualifies for the GitHub student discount
Anyone at least 13 years old, enrolled in a degree- or diploma-granting program (high school, college, university or homeschool), with a personal GitHub account. Teachers and school staff apply through a separate GitHub Education route.
How to verify GitHub’s student discount
- 1Prove your enrollment to GitHubApply from Education benefits settings in your GitHub account. GitHub verifies individually: if recent applicants from your school used a school email, you must add and verify an academic email address first. Otherwise upload proof - a photo of a school ID showing the current enrolment date, a class schedule, a transcript, or an enrolment verification letter.
