DoorDash Student Discount 2026: Who Qualifies and How to Verify

Students get DashPass at $4.99 a month or $48 a year instead of $9.99 a month or $96 a year. DashPass gives $0 delivery fees on eligible orders and 5% back in credits on pickup. From August 17 to October 12, 2026 US and Canada students can instead sign up for 12 months of Free Student DashPass at $0 a month.

Customers in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand enrolled at a university or post-secondary school. The free 12-month offer is US and Canada only.

   Verify once with SheerID

   Verification happens inside the DoorDash app at sign-up. You give first name, last name, college, date of birth and email address, and SheerID checks it. If auto-verification fails you upload a school-issued transcript, class schedule, or registration or tuition receipt; manual review takes up to 24 hours.

One Student DashPass per customer. Orders must reach $12 in the US ($25 for grocery) to get DashPass benefits. You cannot switch an existing standard DashPass to the student plan; you have to cancel and re-enroll.
