How do I actually get food from Golden Harvest Food Bank?
Golden Harvest is a regional food bank working through Hunger Relief Partners. Best route: open the Food Finder at goldenharvest.org/find-help/food-pantry-finder/ and enter your zip code to list the partners nearest you; the food bank recommends calling the partner first to confirm hours. Or call the Augusta office on 706-736-1199 during business hours and the receptionist will find a partner near you and give you their hours and contact details. For a hot meal with no paperwork, go to The Master's Table, 702 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30901. The food bank also has SNAP Outreach staff who help you apply, and Backpack and School Market programs run through participating schools (ask your school counsellor).
When is Golden Harvest Food Bank open?
The Master's Table serves a hot meal every day: Monday to Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Office hours for the help line: Monday to Friday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Partner pantry hours are not published centrally - the Food Finder lists them, or the office will tell you by phone, and the food bank says to call ahead to verify.
