Do I have to prove my income to get food from Food Lifeline?
Food Lifeline does not publish a requirement either way. Each partner pantry sets its own, so ask the pantry before you go, or call 877-404-7543. Do not assume you are turned away: most pantries in the Feeding America network serve anyone who says they need help.
How do I actually get food from Food Lifeline?
Food Lifeline is a regional food bank: it supplies partner agencies rather than handing out food itself. To get food, open foodlifeline.org/find-food and search the map by address or zip code for free groceries or a hot meal at a food pantry, shelter or mobile distribution. Map filters let you show only sites open today or on a chosen day. The page tells you to reach out directly to the provider you pick. When is Food Lifeline open?
